On Saturday, January 11th, we held our 15th Bowie Bash in Rome at the Lian Club on Via Nomentana 1111—an unmissable night for fans of the White Duke.
Once again this year, Ambra Mattioli and Aladdin Insane celebrated the immense musical legacy of David Bowie, an undisputed icon from the second half of the last century to the present day, with an astonishing discography that includes 25 studio albums as a solo artist, 2 with Tin Machine, 23 live albums, 51 compilations, 10 EPs, 120 singles, and 4 soundtracks.
His music has been the soundtrack of many people's lives, and the dates of January 10th, marking his departure from this world, and January 8th, his birthdate, make this early part of the year a time of passion for his fans—torn between melancholy and the desire to celebrate a memory that remains ever alive.
Ambra Mattioli's voice retraces the key milestones of David Bowie's career in an emotional and engaging set, performed live by Aladdin Insane without backing tracks or loops. Playing his music and seeing even the younger generations singing and dancing along with us is a joy that accompanies the story of Ziggy Stardust and his many alter egos—the countless facets of an incredible artist, unforgettable and irreplaceable.
