In 1974 I already knew its whole score by heart and was singing and playing it all.

 

40 years later, with Angelo Caselli at the keyboard and a one man chorus, I was able to perform the musical all by myself, singing all of the nine main characters parts, thanks to the versatility of my voice ( years previously totally overlooked by the nun that was supposed to coach me...).

It's a crazy idea, a demanding challenge, but it is a great success, welcomed at first with perplexity and with enthusiasm in the end. In 2015 there will be several performances in Rome and in some Northern Italy's cities.

 

Of course, in 2014, JCS' fortieth anniversary, I couldn't miss the Sistina Theatre performance of the original cast. I saw the show twice and twice I met Ted Neeley backstage. What an exceptional artist! What an exceptional, lovable man!
